La Poesia de la Comida
For this project we were prompted to take a food item and write a poem about it, then we had to cook food that went along with my poem. For the food I cooked a dish called chicharones, this is pork that is cooked with many different things depending on the cook. I cooked mine with some lemon juice and orange juice then added some cumin powder.
If I were to redo this project I would try and pay more attention to details and the instructions. I feel that my project is lacking because of my failure to follow directions, but continuing to work and noticing things like this is what helps me learn. On top of helping with my Spanish memorization it is also improving my writing, translation and cooking skills. I think that this project did help me and I would love to do it again.
